Do you know exactly what a social media manager does and what is the difference with a Community Manager ?

Well, in reality they are not alone in this dilemma that arises in the weak line that separates and at the same time defines these positions , since even the specialists have difficulty delimiting this role .
With respect to this, I want to say that I have also reviewed several Linkedin publications to analyze these positions and I can confirm two things:
1- There is a growing atomization of the original position of the Social Media Manager and the Community Manager , which generates a proliferation of dozens of new titles such as, for example, one already well known: Social Media Strategist. However, some others also start to resonate like: Social Media Planner, Social Media Content Manager, Social Media Digital Content Editor, Digital Community Manager, Corporate Community Manager, Traveling Community Manager, and like these, more and more profiles are coming off. and crumbling the "original" task.

2- Despite the different labels, at the time of the job description, the responsibilities fall under two major groups: operational and strategic . The companies use either Social Media Manager or Social Media Strategist, to describe the responsible role for the decisions that are taken at the strategic level in the different platforms. Community Manager , Digital Community Manager and its "etceteras", is ultimately who will be in charge of the operational portion of this formula.
